Often times I find myself planning for effortlessness, whether it is the time spent applying makeup to achieve that natural look or the carefully orchestrated outfit that is meant to look like it was casually thrown together. When it comes to laying out pictures for an eclectic wall there is no exception. Our living room walls have been completely bare for a while now, but this past weekend I finally got around to styling it. The biggest challenge was finding a configuration that I felt good about - which pictures to include and how many, what size pictures looked best together, and how many pictures would make the wall too busy? After creating a scaled mock up of our pictures in Omnigraffle and moving things around I finally settled on a layout that I was happy with. The mock up and final wall are shown below.
